Duck & Waffle claims to be the highest restaurant in the UK. The view from the restaurant is pretty awesome.
We were at Duck & Waffle for brunch… here are the things we tried….
- Duck & Waffle – of course we ordered this, no brainer really. I don’t normally like sweets mixed with savouries (e.g. pancake, maple syrup, and bacon) so I wasn’t sure if I would like this. But I did! A duck leg confit sits on top of a plain waffle, which is then topped by a massive fried duck egg, with salt sprinkle. Goes extremely well with the mustard maple syrup.
- Here’s another photo so you can see the confit duck leg. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.
- Hubby ordered the House Breakfast (of course) – a big fry up consisting of two eggs (sunny side up, of course), bacon, pork & herb sausage, grilled mushroom, grilled tomato, Scottish black pudding, hashbrown (amazing), baked beans, and sourdough toast. Yum.
- We shared a dessert of Belgian waffles with banana brulee (crispy caramelised top) and homemade nutella (tastes great, but looks like cat sick here).
